The Top 5 Products I discovered in 2018 for Dry, Colored Hair

I am constantly on the look out for the best products for my hair type. My hair has been through a lot between dying, highlighting, and curling so it is more fragile than most. I also have fine hair so it needs extra care, especially with the winter season here. Here are the best products I discovered in 2018 for dry and colored hair:

  1. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque- $36Screen Shot 2019-01-02 at 1.21.37 PM.png

This is my second tub of this product. It retails for around $36 but I usually can find it at TJ Maxx for half the price. It worked wonders for my hair, especially after it’s freshly highlighted and needs some extra hydration. I put it on mid length and ends while I’m in the shower after shampooing, and a little bit goes a long way. It will absolutely transform your hair to smooth and silkiness, especially if you have dry ends. It also smells fantastic!

2. Aveda Smooth Infusion Nourishing Style Creme – $26

This product is a little on the pricey side, but is so worth it. I love Aveda because they use natural botanicals in their products. Put it on after you shower in wet hair and work through the ends. I love using it before I blow dry and even if I am letting my hair air dry. It doesn’t get sticky and really soaks into your hair to control frizz.

3. Ion Color Detangling Shine Mist – $8

I am obsessed with this stuff and definitely buying another bottle. A little bit goes a LONG way, and if you use too much it will start to look greasy. Not only does this add shine and moisture but it also protects hair from heat damage!

4. Qoqonut Smoothing Styling Potion – $28

The smell of this is AMAZING. It makes me feel like I just walked off of a beach. This is from a smaller chain in Grand Rapids MI, that I am sure is going to take off nationally. I have tried several of their products including the water hydration mist and they are all phenomenal. I use a little of this balm on my ends after I get out of the shower before blow drying.

5. Not Your Mothers All Eyes on Me 10 in 1 Hair Perfector – $6.99GUEST_6b715921-e6d4-4361-b447-2e1bd4433a80.jpg

I just stumbled across this Hair Perfector while in Walmart the other day looking for a new heat protectant. I have used other products from I was intrigued by the fact that it could take place of many other products I use as well. I think it is very compatible to the Its a 10 hair miracle leave in, but at a much more affordable price tag. Highly recommend!
